The logging in the AuthLite Security event log was originally designed as an aid to debugging, so (unlike many windows logs) the event IDs are often categories of information rather than each ID having a separate discrete meaning.  Information about the actual meaning of each event is recorded in the message body of the event.

Event sources

Inside the AuthLite Security log there are two separate "sources".

  • AuthLite AuditLog: All messages originating from the AuthLite Service will show this source.
  • AuthLite: All messages originating from the AuthLite core component, and other miscellaneous events will show this source.

Core events

The message body of most events from the core will contain a text line called Component which gives additional information about the source of the event. Name  is the internal code definition for the event ID. ID  is the event ID number you'll see in the log.
